heymama Oscars Party FSNY 2017-102

If there’s one thing we’re good at here at HEYMAMA, it’s knowing how to throw a party. Last Sunday, February 26th, as The 89th Academy Awards took stage, forty of our New York City members and media influencers gathered for an exclusive, red carpet worthy event in the Royal Suite, at the newly opened Four Seasons Downtown.

Upon entering the palatial penthouse suite, guests were enchanted with sweeping views of the city skyline and Hudson river, as the sun set and the festivities began. Everyone was dressed to the nines, some choosing to dress in character, which elevated an already exquisite event to another level. As guests explored their surroundings, some were treated to a touch up by Glamsquad, others disappeared into the walk-in-closet for a chance to play dress up and try on the gorgeous dresses and coats on loan from our friends at Armarium. (We know who we’re calling for our next high profile affair! The pieces were insane.) And it wouldn’t be Oscar night if we weren’t in a heated debate over who was Best Dressed. It’s safe to say that Emma Stone was a group favorite as there was an audible hush as she sashayed her Givenchy down the red carpet (that fringe!) and we were in agreement that Jessica Biel (gold goddess), Janelle Monae (sheer and stunning) and Hailee Seinfeld (ethereal) were on point as well. We’d be remiss if we didn’t give a shout out to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for his chic blue velvet tux. You clean up well Maui!

Our very own Sarah Pearsall won Best Dressed for the evening, going home with a gift certificate to Armarium and Amy Purcell won Best Supporting and a treat to Drybar. We love how you elevated the theme of the night and can’t wait to see what you do next year!

From the delectable passed hor d’oeuvres prepared by Wolfgang Puck’s team, to the endless flow of bubbles and wine, we were treated like guests at the main event itself and before we knew it we were cuddled up in bed watching the most incredible (confusing?!) end to the show in Oscar history. Bonnie & Clyde have always kept people on their toes, and I guess they stayed true to character.

A huge thanks to our co-host Amy Nobile, Co-Founder of Ash & Ames (we all received matching cuffs in our Gift Bags – drool!), and to the Four Seasons who opened up their penthouse suite and gifted each member with a spa certificate, as well as Armarium. A full gallery of images is available and we totally recommend the Four Seasons Downtown for your next getaway, girls night or event. Staycation anyone?
