While working moms are often the recipients of well-deserved praise and are touted as the backbone of society, they are typically offered less support, mentorship, and financial backing than their male counterparts. While 12.3 million women-owned businesses generate $1.8 trillion in a single year, women receive just 7% of venture funds for their start-ups. And when you add on the never-ending responsibilities of motherhood, being a mom entrepreneur means, in no uncertain terms, that you need and deserve more support…not less.

This is why HeyMama has teamed up with Lorissa’s Kitchen, a premium fuel-good snack company founded by a mom with moms in mind, to offer HeyMama membership grants for working and entrepreneurial moms who have no doubt been impacted this past year. In addition to a HeyMama membership, Lorissa’s Kitchen is offering 40 moms and their businesses national promotion on their Mother’s Day gift destination – Lorissa’s List – and advice from other mom entrepreneurs.

“I know what it’s like to build a business and balance a family and that’s been the inspiration behind creating Lorissa’s List,” said Lorissa Link, founder of Lorissa’s Kitchen. “I couldn’t think of anything better than bringing a group of impressive women together to help bring awareness to these amazing businesses this Mother’s Day.”

The aim of Lorissa’s List is to showcase diverse businesses from the products they offer to the uniqueness of the women who own them – another example of Lorissa’s Kitchen’s dedication to giving every working mom the support she needs to thrive both at home and at work.

We know the last year has been difficult, at best, because we’ve all lived it. We’re still living it. Which is why Lorissa’s Kitchen and HeyMama are thrilled to highlight the following grant recipients and celebrate the many personal and professional goals a HeyMama membership will help these working moms reach.

Congratulations, grant recipients! We can’t wait to see what these working moms do next.
