What does getting a blowout or an acupuncture treatment have to do with achieving your professional goals? Our answer: plenty. That’s why our annual All About That Mama summit blends self-care into a day filled with mentoring sessions, networking opportunities, and panels on topics like branding.
We know that if you’re going to take a day for yourself, you want to make the absolute most of your time. Where else but a HEYMAMA event can you get mentorship, a manicure, and a meditation experience all in one place? Count the ways self-care benefits professional growth with us…and learn how we’re working it into All About That Mama this year.
Make space for big ideas.
Have you ever noticed that some of your best ideas come when you’re taking a shower? Sometimes, when we hyperfocus on our goals and challenges, we get so caught up in one way of thinking that we completely lose sight of other possible answers. When we let ourselves relax for a bit, we make space for new ideas to come to us. So, your big idea on branding your side hustle might come during our panel featuring mamas who have used their strong personal brands to build their careers, including Aya Kanai (chief fashion director for Hearst publications), Eden Grinshpan (Top Chef host and co-founder of Dez), Leah Wyar Romito (GM and editor-in-chief at Byrdie and MyDomaine), and Mara Schiavocampo (TV journalist and author). But, there’s also a chance that game-changing idea will come during a manicure by Glosslab or a facial by APTO.
Feel like your best self.
Think about how you walk into a room just after getting a great haircut. If you’re like us, the answer is “like you own it.” Taking control of how we present ourselves to the world can be an incredibly empowering experience. The confidence strong beauty game gives us can give us a boost of courage to make the big asks and share those ideas that come to us in the shower. With haircuts and blowouts by Rob Peetoom and makeup touch-ups by Wander Beauty on site confidence will be running high at All About That Mama. And because the way we look on the outside is just one piece of the confidence puzzle, we’ll go deep with a ceremony Dr. Lauren Hazzouri developed to bring women together in order to individually heal, grow and be who they truly are, forming a deeper awareness of themselves and others.
When we’re filled with ambition, it can be tempting to stay in “go” mode as long as our bodies will let us. But in order to bring our best to our careers and our families in the long term, we need to take care of ourselves first. While we’ve seen about a million posts on Instagram getting at this point, it can be challenging to actually carve that time out. If you’re going to take the time to join us at All About That Mama, we want to make sure you get to use some of that time to take care of yourself. Plus, every mama will head home with a gift bag including a few things to keep the self-care rituals going at home.
We know you’re excited to hear from mama bosses like Piera Gelardi (co-founder and executive creative director of Refinery 29), Divya Gugnani (co-founder and CEO of Wander Beauty), Rebecca Minkoff, and more at All About That Mama. Through the self-care activations and programming, you’ll have a chance to process it all and take a much-deserved break. If this sounds like exactly what you need, view the full lineup and get your tickets before they sell out!
