Embrace the crazy.
Be here now.
My dad told once told me it's better to love and get your heart broken, than to never love again. I followed his advice, and eventually married the love of my life. This advice transcends into different parts of my life - beyond love. It's about going for it. I will never regret trying. But I would regret allowing my dreams to pass me by.
I love creating. Whether it's in the kitchen or projects around the house - I like getting my hands dirty! I love spending time with my children and husband. I am also a spokesperson for a non-profit group - Operation Showers of Appreciation. It's an organization that throws baby showers for military moms. Recently, they launched a new program called "Unspoken Heroes," where they will send pamper packages to military spouses or caretakers. As a spokesperson, I am hoping to help them grow this program.
Death. Never used to fear it, but now that I have children, it's probably the thing that scares me most.
Launching. :) In all seriousness, soon I will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for my first production run. Running a successful campaign would be a game-changer for the company. I am hoping parents/moms/kids love my product and I can build a community of people who embrace SOCKABU!
Great question! Probably three things...
1. Trust your gut.
2. Don't force things.
3. Enjoy the ride.
I would love to be part of a community of women and mothers who truly know what it's like trying to juggle your home life and your work life. For most of my career, I never asked for help. I thought it was a sign of weakness. Now, I see it as a strength. I also love mentoring others and I have a lot to offer from a media/marketing perspective.
