FATTY SUNDAYS Co-Founder Food Brooklyn, NY
About Allison
Hi! I'm Ali. A 32yo entrepreneur/Mom living in DUMBO with my husband Ido and 14mos old daughter, Ruthie. We’re an energetic and spontaneous little crew! I have a graphic design background (I used to design for Equinox) and now sell chocolate covered pretzels. Talk about a career change :) My younger sister and I started Fatty Sundays about 6 years ago. Inspired by our Mom's recipe, we're re-inventing and modernizing everyone's favorite sweet+salty treat. We have a small, but growing, team and everyday is a hustle! What a journey it's been and I wouldn't have it any other way. It feels like I have 2 babies now since Fatty Sundays was my first! Aside from working, you can find me walking in the park in Brooklyn (BK Roasting coffee in hand), jogging or going to a barre class (when I can), or hanging with friends and family in Brooklyn or Long Island. I love to "cook" brunch when I have the time on weekends, too. And getting to the farmers market first is really the ultimate win! My husband is the better cook, though. We like good meals. He’s actually an entrepreneur as well (in the music world), and together we’re working hard and chasing our bigger dreams and goals. He’s my biggest supporter (and challenger, when needed!)

What special skill, talent or gift would you like to give back to the community?

I'd love to share our story and my journey. It really is unique. We had no culinary or business background at all when starting Fatty Sundays and somehow figured it out. We're still figuring it out everyday... but I hope to inspire others looking to do their own thing. It's not easy and honestly there are more challenges as we're growing! But, finding that oomph to keep pushing through is what I am hoping to share with others. I also love branding, and the early stages of, so am happy to share my advice in that regard!

What is your biggest business challenge right now?
