About Jenn
I love to read. It’s almost pathologic. I took an extra English class my Senior year in HS just for fun. (Yes, you read that right). I have an uncanny memory for things that are not useful to me as an adult. If you ever have a need for the order of the taxonomic groups or the US states in alphabetical order, I can gladly help. I love to travel, but I really love Indian food. My husband has graciously taken me to indulge in Indian cuisine in every country and major city we have visited, except Italy. It did not seem right to cheat on spaghetti bolognese with tikka masala.

I enjoy a smart blazer and a suede high heel. Documentaries over Bravo TV. Ray LaMontagne over Beyonce. Baths and red wine always! I am constantly trying to learn or do new things, as I enjoy pushing myself outside of my particularities. I always try to be a good friend, a good wife, and an even better Mom.

I live in sunny San Diego, after I relocated myself and my teal beta fish from my hometown of Las Vegas in my early twenties. I met my husband, Tim, over guacamole and margaritas in a coastal Mexican restaurant popular with locals. Seven years later, after countless travel and sailing adventures, we find ourselves new-ish parents to a blonde two year old with a killer set of dimples. We are also looking forward to welcoming our second son in August of 2019.

Our family is constantly on the go, traveling and exploring new terrain. I love this dynamic as it pushes my boundaries and encourages me to be more flexible. It is often stressful to balance the demands of new motherhood plus my job, personal, and wifely duties; but I am grateful for the opportunity this modern age affords me to be able to embrace them all. I do not have to choose.

Modern motherhood is a delicate balance, and that looks different for all of us. I am excited about the possibilities that a strong diverse community of Moms can offer each other. I will always be the no holds barred voice that is honest in what it takes for me to find happiness, some balance, and fulfillment in this phase of life. I whole heartedly believe that this Mom business is better done together, and although that I do not have all the answers, we can find them if we work together.

My business, Generation.Mom, serves to support this vision of the modern day Mama via our podcast, community and online platforms. We strive to bring Moms together, to educate, inspire and teach other as we navigate these busy waters!

Why do you want to be a part of heymama?

To learn from, inspire and support other Mamas on this journey. Motherhood is different for all of us, how we arrived to this point and our day to day, but we can all learn from each other.
