Life in Play Company, LLC CEO Retail Los Gatos, CA
About Lauren
I'm the CEO and Founder of ToteSavvy. Five years ago I created the very first prototype out of necessity as a first-time mom. Since our official launch in 2014, I've been running ToteSavvy while growing my family and striving to find synergy in being a working mom. I currently have three children under 6 including 3-year-old twins!

Failure is a stepping stone to success

What special skill, talent or gift would you like to give back to the community?

I've built a successful business from the ground up without outside investment. I'm very skilled at leveraging a limited skillset to create a product launch on low to zero budget. If something can be one in-house I can help determine if it's worth it to save the money and tackle the task yourself.

What is your biggest business challenge right now?

Marketing strategies that worked in the past don't seem to carry the same weight as they once did. My challenge has been to determine how to adapt to the current buying climate to continue to accelerate our growth.

What do you want to achieve in 2018, personally and professionally?

Personally, I'd like to find the right system to compartmentalize my daily life. It's a constant struggle balancing work and family life but I'm optimistic I'm close to finding what works best for my family. Professionally, I'm striving to continue to grow the ToteSavvy brand and break through the barriers we're currently facing.

What is one thing that would be game-changing for your business right now?

Growing our team to a point where each person can really focus on one aspect of the business. We all wear a lot of hats (#startuplife) which can limit the growth potential.

Why do you want to be a part of heymama?

I'm looking to connect with like-minded mamas who are also balancing their business and motherhood.
