Comparison is the thief of joy.
Look towards the sunshine and the shadows fall behind you.
Not all who wander are lost.
Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive
When I was born they told my mom I was going to be a Little Person. And also, I was probably brain damaged as I breathed too soon during an emergency delivery where I was born in the hallway of the hospital and came out blue. But I am neither of those things, well, maybe a bit of the latter… I also was so drugged up when I had an emergency C-section with my twins that when I saw my daughter for the first time, who looked exactly like me when I was a baby, I thought I had died and was watching myself be reborn. I also have a weird love of fun socks, they’re usually hidden, but they don’t have to be boring! And I kind of wish I could be barefoot all the time and live in the trees.
Personal passion would have to be traveling. I love exploring the world around us, whether that’s international or right down the street. Exploring new places and meeting new people makes my soul come alive. After having twins, our traveling style changed a bit, but it hasn’t stopped us. Now, it’s just a different kind of traveling. I also love being in nature every chance I get. I grew up near the beach and went to college in the Redwoods. I’m the most at peace when I’m in the arms of natural beauty.

Never settle for that soul crushing day job because you think that’s what you’re supposed to do. Follow your artistic passions instead!
I love being around other creatives, especially entreprenuerial mamas! It's such a hard balance to be running your own company while also being a present mother and provider for your family. I'd love to be able to brainstorm and simply chat with your like minded women going through the same things! Being able to talk to someone not only about how your kid is eating and sleeping, but also how to launch your next idea and what kind of accounting software someone uses, is simply priceless. It can be so isolating sometimes to be a "stay at home" mom while still pursuing your dreams as an entrepreneurial woman. I often find myself behind my computer for hours on end without speaking to a single other person. I love the idea of HeyMama to get entrepreneurial mamas together to decrease that isolation, I love it.
