Inner peace, personal truth, laughter
These past couple of years has been been both the hardest and most rewarding thus far. My mother passed away of cancer when I was 7 months pregnant. At the time, we were living in NY and my parents lived in Miami. Our plan all along was to move back to
Miami when we had kids to be closer to family. The irony did not escape me.
Working full-time, traveling back and forth from NY to Miami to figure out our move, while trying to spend as much time with my mother as possible, while taking care of my very pregnant self was a true test of character.
My son gave me strength I never knew existed. I had to be the best me for him. Although I had lost my mother just a few shorts months prior to his birth, he gave me a brand new reason to live life to the fullest.
While I feel fully confident I am able to offer advice and mentorship with my professional background on brand building, licensing & creative ventures, I also know I can support women with personal hardships and challenges.
Supporting people, whether they are close friends or someone I just met is equally as rewarding for myself. I have built internal tools over the years to help not only cope with life's stressors, but to exceed my personal expectations.
Just that, a community. I think it's vital for women to support each other and to feel a sense of empowerment. It's challenging enough as a woman in the workforce before kids to feel fully confident in all you do professionally. But once you throw motherhood into the mix, all the while rebuilding and relearning yourself emotionally, physically, spiritually & professionally, it's a whole lot. Having the encouragement and mentorship of other professional mothers is truly priceless.
