Bohemian Bloom Founder, Creative Director Design New York, NY
About Tana
My husband and I are both entrepreneurs who run our own companies so our four kids have--fortunately or unfortunately-- witnessed first-hand the dedicated work ethic, hustle and outside-of-the-box problem solving it takes to keep all the balls in the air and raise a family. I'm a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in paper these days producing hand-cut couture commissions for clientele such as Michelle Obama, Harry Winston, Stila Cosmetics and 'The Knot,'

What special skill, talent or gift would you like to give back to the community?

I'm that mom friend you don't think twice when texting your truly TMI motherhood/baby question at 2am and I'm probably up anyway to answer it pronto. Being a business owner is hard but being a mom (of four) is even harder-- I've seen it all and probably still have the stains to prove it. On the creative front, as someone who works frequently in the event design realm, I'm always down to collaborate for any meet-up or event hosted by Hey Mama.

What is your biggest business challenge right now?

Marketing & Social Media

Why do you want to be a part of heymama?

Let's face it: motherhood can be lonely, starting and running your own company can be really lonely, too. I have mom friends, client friends who have children, but to be able to hang with other moms who can nod their heads in solidarity after you share the frustration of being up all night finishing a project for an important client because you wanted to take off the next day to make it to your son's first baseball practice or share the behind the scenes of what it takes keep everything above water is priceless. It's so easy to slip into the mindset of 'I must be the only one who goes through x, y, and z' but it's so refreshing and hopeful to be amongst others who get that the juggle is real.
