Collaborating, Consulting, Friendship, Mentoring, Networking, Playdates
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
I'm that mom friend you don't think twice when texting your truly TMI motherhood/baby question at 2am and I'm probably up anyway to answer it pronto. Being a business owner is hard but being a mom (of four) is even harder-- I've seen it all and probably still have the stains to prove it. On the creative front, as someone who works frequently in the event design realm, I'm always down to collaborate for any meet-up or event hosted by Hey Mama.
Marketing & Social Media
Let's face it: motherhood can be lonely, starting and running your own company can be really lonely, too. I have mom friends, client friends who have children, but to be able to hang with other moms who can nod their heads in solidarity after you share the frustration of being up all night finishing a project for an important client because you wanted to take off the next day to make it to your son's first baseball practice or share the behind the scenes of what it takes keep everything above water is priceless. It's so easy to slip into the mindset of 'I must be the only one who goes through x, y, and z' but it's so refreshing and hopeful to be amongst others who get that the juggle is real.
