Since becoming a mama, fitness and being more mindful of wellness has jumped to the top of my priority list, because not only am I responsible for my own body and mind, but for the wellbeing of my little ones. As a busy mama, juggling business and family, makes taking good care of our bodies a necessity, and let’s face it, no matter how comforting that couch and pizza is in the moment, the human body feels way better when you live a healthy and active lifestyle. To help inspire other mamas to live more mindfully, this past weekend we partnered with SELF and The Surf Lodge for our #StrongLikeAMama event.
After arriving in style in our Audi Q7 and grabbing a juice from the bar (compliments of Bluestone Lane), we headed out back and started the event with a butt kicking work out from Dasha Anderson, fitness expert and the creator of the KB Fit Flow method. After getting our sweat on, we gathered in the sand, sipped smoothies from Fuel Good Protein, and listened to a panel that included inspiring women Liz Plosser, Jacq Tatelman, Jill Foley, and Dasha Anderson as they shared their experiences and perspectives on balancing fitness, family, and business.
All day long #StrongLikeAMama event attendees had the option to relax at The Ritualist’s facial station and shop at the amazing Pop-Ups by State Bags and Rose + Rex. Every State bag purchased gives a bag to a New York kid in need, talk about a #giveback brand to know.
We ended the afternoon with a brunch and loved watching the mamas mingle and make connections over mango smoothie bowls and avocado toast.  The Surf Lodge created a custom menu for our event and being served water-side was the perfect way to close an event before our mamas took off with their STATE Bag filled swag bags that included Boll and Branch beach towels, The Ritualist face masks, cute ass Parasol diapers, a Helen Ficalora mom necklace, the new issue of SELF, Ilia Beauty‘s bestselling “Arabian Nights” lipstick, Peloton Cycle, Outdoor Voices and Botanica Bazaar discount cards, and Skip Hop beach blankets.
For every ticket to #StrongLikeAMama sold we donated a backpack to an American kid in need.
